What is Pilates?
Pilates is a body training method that helps build controlled flexibility, long, lean muscles, strength and endurance in the tummy, back, hips, legs, and arms. It emphasises spinal and pelvic alignment, breathing to relieve stress and allow adequate oxygen flow to muscles, developing a strong core – toning the tummy and strengthening the back. It also improves coordination and balance. Pilates is a very flexible method which allows exercises to be modified to suit beginners’ right through to advanced level participants. Intensity can be increased over time as the body strengthens and adjusts to the exercises. Every muscle group is appropriately trained to give its followers enhanced core strength, correct movement patterns, a leaner body and better balance.

We offer Pilates classes for all abilities; every client is treated as an individual to ensure they achieve their goals while exercising safely.
If required, we also offer individual Pilates sessions that will prepare you for safe attendance at group classes.
